OK... its been a while and I've missed lots of days work.
In short I'm still tearing her down.
Plus a stuff-up with a ply order means I've moved on the trailer.
This is how it looked:

Rust was worse than I first thought so I will have to replace one of the crossmembers. Teh brakes wre shot and did not even have any internals, so as the trailer is going to be light enough I am going without brakes. Plus I have reduce weight substantially by removing the very heavy centre channel.
